I felt the baby kick for the first time on Saturday! The spotting has stopped and I'm starting to feel more confident of this pregnancy. Still checking the heart beat every Wednesday and Saturday and the only concern I have at the moment is that the heart beat seems to be dropping. 6 weeks ago at 10 weeks (their dates) the heartbeat was 180. Slowly its been decreasing and Monday it was down to 150. Today I noticed it was around 135, still within normal range but I'm a little concerned with it dropping so much. Maybe it's normal, I don't know but I can definitely tell just by listening that it's not as fast as it used to be or was with Lauren. I don't have another doctors appointment for 3 weeks. I may ask my doctor when I go for Lauren's appointment on Thursday.
Which reminds me, there's an important post I have to start writing soon. Lauren will be 2 on Friday!!! Wow where has the time gone? Update coming soon on our rainbow baby.

15/16 weeks
How far along? 15/16 weeks
Baby's size? Navel orange/ Avocado
Total weight gain: Starting pregnancy weight: 148.6lbs Now: 158.4 lbs (+9.8 lbs) ugh 2 lbs in a week! I go back to work Monday so will start walking again and not have access to all this food at home in the mornings.

Well the spotting has continued. Some days there's literally 2 drops on the panty liner, other days I need to wear a pad. It's really weird spotting too. like stringy clots so I really do still believe it's the hematoma slowly releasing. I check the heartbeat every few days and the baby is still going strong and that's all that really matter at this point.
Dan's brother, sister-in-law and nephew are coming to visit tomorrow. Lauren's very excited to spend time with "baby Tom".

It was an uneventful week. I was going to send out an email letting my extended family know were pregnant but couldn't bring myself to send it. Instead I decided to let my mum tell everyone.

I started spotting again Wednesday :( It's brown spotting and yesterday morning turned to dark red so I called the doctors office and saw her yesterday morning. She did an ultrasound and the baby is still doing well and moving around in there. She suspects its the sch starting to leak which would actually be good. We're back to waiting and seeing. I hate this though. It's never nice to see anything like that while pregnant. Trying to stay positive.

Wow I've gained 2 pounds in a week! I'm going to start walking to work again tomorrow since the bleeding has stopped for a week now. This was my only source of exercise and I've been taking it easy since the bleeding happened.
I heard from the doctors office the past 2 days. Yesterday the receptionist called to say that they'd received the ultrasound report and everything came back fine. I didn't bother talking to her about it but that means that either they missed the sch or it hadn't formed yet since I was still bleeding. I could ask for another to get the measurement of the sch but what's the point. It's not going to change the diagnosis just our odds so I'm going to do another one. She may or may not check via ultrasound at my next appointment in 4 weeks. Today they called to say that the echo has been booked! On August 28th we'll find out of this baby is heart healthy!!!!! At least we have a day to look forward to.
